Personal and Professional Headshot Photography and Portraits in South Jersey

We live in a world of first impressions and nothing establishes that first impression like a headshot. How and where it is photographed establishes what impression your headshot will make.

There’s a reason for the old saying about a picture being worth a thousand words. Images truly do work to provide information about a product or service, yet they go much further than this. Today, customers want to know who they are doing business with, and professional headshots on a website help provide them with confidence. They learn more about the person from their photo, so they feel more comfortable spending their money with this individual. Certain things should never be done when producing a headshot for a website, however.

Never make use of a selfie for the site photo, as doing so shows the person in an unprofessional light. The subject needs to dress for the camera and make certain the clothing flatters the body type. These are only two ways in which we work with a client to get a photo that truly shows them in a positive way. Often, the headshot is the first impression of the person, thus it is of great importance, yet this is only one of the ways images can be of help with marketing a company or organization.

The importance of headshots for your personal or professional image has never been more important. With the rise of LinkedIn as a source for business and communication, your prospective clients want to know more about you as a person. The first and the strongest first impression will be your headshot. Why? Outside of the fact that it is the first thing they should see on any profile, in today’s world a picture is truly worth 1000 words. Nowadays we don’t have the time to read, so that picture may also be worth even more than your words.

“A photographic portrait is a picture of someone who knows he is being photographed, and what he does with this knowledge is as much a part of the photograph as what he’s wearing or how he looks.”
