Many companies have opted to remove direct mail from their marketing plan, believing it is too expensive to be cost effective. This doesn’t have to be the situation. According to the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) Council, direct mail remains a great marketing tool. Direct marketing, according to the council, accounted for $2.05 trillion in sales four years ago, and this accounted for approximately 8.7 percent of the United States gross domestic product. Experts anticipate these figures will only increase over the coming years. Of those consumers receiving direct mail, 79 percent take action immediately, yet this isn’t the case with email marketing, as only 45 percent act on an email message right away. Local shops and banks tend to do best in this area, yet any business can benefit from direct mail. We work with every client to determine if this is a marketing strategy they should employ.
